Full Job Description RESTAURANT Assistant Manager PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This position has the overall responsibility for managing the operations of a single restaurant ensuring delivery on guest satisfaction. Oversees the restaurant controls, operations, recruiting and people development, guest service and compliance across every shift. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide outstanding service and satisfied guests by creating a friendly, clean, and safe environment. Identify and attract talent, build a high-performing team, and maintain full staffing levels by recruiting, executing all training programs, and providing coaching, recognition, and feedback to the team. Utilize HOSPITALITY Systems to run a great restaurant, especially accurate projections, and great schedules. Maintain financial integrity and restaurant controls: maintain cash policies, verify invoices, food orders and inventory and personally complete period inventory counts. Meet your budget and achieve results as a hands-on leader, including speed of service, food safety and cleanliness. Receive passing inspection grades Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure all equipment is clean and maintained. Meet positive food and labor variance and take appropriate action to improve results. Write an effective work schedule designed to grow sales by 5 PM on Wednesday and post by 5 PM on Thursday each week. Work all shifts (breakfast, lunch, dinner late night & weekends) each week. Work at least 1 full weekend each period. Ensure checkbook spending is used and all invoices over $500 are approved by a District Leader. Follow all government regulations, employment law, food safety, operations policies and cash policies and implement all accounting controls. Communicate effectively with all levels of management about plans, progress and problems. Successfully implement all marketing promotions. Participate in the development of company policies, standards, training and management development. Ensure all payroll documents are completed and submitted so every team member is paid on time for all hours worked.
