Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Director is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic activities related to the delivery of behavioral health care services across the clinic. This includes establishing, achieving and continuously monitoring the behavioral health goals and objectives of Open Door Health Center. This position provides direction and leadership to ensure Open Door Health Center meets the organizations goals of great patient care and improved population health within an efficient cost structure, while improving the work life of providers and staff. The Director is knowledgeable about relevant federal and state regulations impacting behavioral health care and serves as a subject matter expert for the organization. Job Responsibilities: Provides an experience and environment of patient and family-centered care. Incorporates Open Door Health Center’s vision, mission and values in goals and programs within the Behavioral Health Services. Develops and manages behavioral health operational initiatives with measurable outcomes. Actively seeks opportunities to improve financial outcomes, engaging staff in the process. Assists with establishing an annual operating and capital budget, demonstrating fiscal responsibility through meeting budget targets. Directs and provides guidance to manager to effectively allocate resources based on patient volume, space availability, budget constraints, and program priorities, goals and objectives. Contributes to the success of Open Door Health Center by providing leadership, direction and coordination of operations, finances and human resources for area of responsibility. Manages and directors all activities within area of responsibility. Continually assesses all services, identifies problems, and utilizes data to analyze and propose innovative approaches for solutions. Maintains records related to operations and services that are complete, accurate, available and in compliance with all legal, regulatory and policy requirements. Remains current of new trends and best practices and incorporates into Behavioral Health Services’ practices and programs. Develops and implements innovative systems and processes that improve staff and patient quality and safety. Creates and maintains a satisfying workplace that fosters professional growth and job satisfaction for all members of the healthcare team. Supports the integration of behavioral health care to assess and treat the behavioral health conditions of Open Door Health Center patients. Work with organizational partners to fulfill the mission of Open Door Health Center. Perform other tasks as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Qualifications: Board Certified LICSW or LMFT required. Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field with extensive experience in delivery of clinical services. LADC or substance use specialty training may be required. A minimum of 5 years related work experience providing mental health services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts and build teams. Demonstrated creativity and flexibility. Ability to operate in high-pressure situations. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively across Open Door Health Center entities and disciplines. Demonstrated commitment to patient and family-centered care. Broad knowledge of modern health care administration practices and principles within a manages care environment. Demonstrated effective managerial and administrative leadership of clinical operations. Bi-lingual skills are a plus. Working Environment Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time. Position requires repetitive use of fingers, hands, and wrist in job related duties, i.e. telephone, computer. Complete range of motion needed, including fine motor skills and tactile sense of both hands. Ability to lift 25 pounds. Salary: $78.4K - $99.3K a year
