Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating expertise in medical terminology, trauma medicine, and ICU practices. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their needs, develop care plans, and ensure the delivery of effective treatments. A strong understanding of medical records and imaging systems is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine care needs and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition promptly. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and home care practices. Perform suturing and other necessary procedures as required. Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate’s degree considered with relevant experience. Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical or ICU setting is highly desirable. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medical imaging systems. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while providing compassionate patient care. Experience in home care settings is a plus.
