Job Summary: We are seeking a full-time pharmacy technician to join a growing team at a compounding pharmacy. The ideal candidate is motivated, hardworking, and detail-oriented, who will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications and providing great customer service. This full-time position does not require you to be initially certified; however, you will be required to obtain a pharmacy technician trainee license and, preferably within a year, take the examination to become a certified pharmacy technician. A strong work ethic and attention to detail is a must. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that will challenge you and provide you with exceptional growth opportunities in the pharmacy industry. You will be provided paid time off, and six paid holidays. After a probationary period of 3 months, we will consider other benefits. Responsibilities and skill sets are listed below. $18 - $30 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION. RAISES ARE GIVEN AS GOALS ARE MET AND SKILL LEVELS ARE ACHIEVED. Responsibilities: Work with a variety of chemicals to compound prescriptions. Prepare medications by counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals. Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs. Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Skill Sets: (Nice to have) Proficiency in medical terminology. Strong knowledge of pharmacy technician duties. As with similar positions in the pharmacy industry, applicants must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks of handling HD and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs.
