We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and proficiency in accounting software to effectively handle billing inquiries and account reconciliations. Process incoming payments and ensure accurate posting to customer accounts. Manage accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices. Perform account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy. Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment arrangements, and collections. Utilize medical billing and construction industry knowledge to ensure compliance with industry standards. Negotiate payment plans with clients when necessary to facilitate timely collections. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications in the accounting software. Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues and improve revenue cycle management. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus. Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel. Good understanding of medical terminology and medical billing processes. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on phone etiquette. Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately. Experience in account reconciliation and medical collections preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
