Position Summary
The Outpatient Registered Nurse can assist as needed with the job duties of an outpatient nurse, but the focused job duties will be managing the clerical functions of the telehealth rounding encounters for the Chief Medical Officer along with the nursing unit necessary to provide patient care. The coordinator also provides on site administrative/clerical duties on the unit. The coordinator will also function as a Behavioral Health Advocate (as required) and conduct patient observation and supervision to patients, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from adolescents through adults.
Job Responsibilities
• Establish rounding schedule with Remote provider and notify remote provider the number of names of patients to be seen during daily block.
• Send Outlook Zoom invite for scheduled rounding start time and ensure patient visit room is reserved
• Ensure the patient was notified of telehealth services, permission was obtained and patient consent for telehealth services is signed and included in patient's chart.
• Ensure patient's chart is complete with all documents for the remote provider to review via EMR
or prior to sending electronically and ensure remotie provider has any additional information needed.
• Ensure all completed documentation (treatment plan, consult note, orders, etc.) have been received and are signed then given to RN on the unit.
• Other duties as assigned including but not limited to: Act as an interdepartmental liaison, Answer/transfer phone calls and perform other receptionist duties as requested, Report and track maintenance problems or environmental issues needing to be addressed.

Qualifications
High school diploma required. 2-3 years of direct patient care experience preferred
