IT Internal Controls Leader
Job Overview
Hubbell is looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT Internal Controls Leader to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring adoption of our organization’s IT compliance programs, working closely with our Compliance teams to define controls and processes across our systems and project execution. You will also support our M&A efforts by ensuring controls and processes are implemented and adhere to SOX regulations and maintain the integrity of our IT operations. Your expertise along with strong leadership skills, and deep knowledge of SOX compliance will be critical to the success of our organization.
A Day In The Life
Key Responsibilities
• Lead role in helping a newly acquired company understand, adopt, implement, and ensuring ongoing compliance of IT General Controls (ITGC).
• Drive internal reviews and audit of our IT projects to identify risk and guide cross functional teams for effective remediation.
• Responsible for the creation procedure documents, roles and responsibilities, and control descriptions to support operations and audits
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on SOX compliance and best practices in IT controls to staff across the organization.
• Coach and mentor application and control owner on creating auditable controls to reduce risk in the environment.
• Serve as the IT point of contact for internal and external auditors, managing audits and ensuring all inquiries and issues are resolved promptly.
• Serve as the ITGC expert within the IT organization and help drive the development, implementation, and monitoring of controls across IT projects and core applications.
• Work closely with IT, Security, Business, and Compliance teams to drive reviews of IT Projects.
What will help you thrive in this role?
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in public company experience working on SOX compliance
• 4+ years of experience working for or alongside Big 4 on compliance projects
• Proven track record in helping newly acquired companies to adopt SOX controls and related processes.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance framework.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
• Able to travel 25%.
