The person in this positon will support and collaborate with university faculty and library colleagues to provide innovative library instruction and learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom. They will build relationships with students, faculty and staff colleagues, fostering an environment that prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The successful candidate will teach information literacy to students in our First Year Writing program, will provide research consultations, research/reference desk coverage, and will participate in the library’s collection development decision-making including the evaluation and selection of disciplinary resources in relevant subject areas.Job Description:ResponsibilitiesPromotes and conducts course-integrated library instruction sessions and develops assignments in collaboration with faculty membersProvides research assistance to students, faculty, staff, and community membersContributes to Libraries’ virtual presence through resource and course guide development as well as online research assistanceDevelops the collection in conjunction with facultyCollaborates with Resource Management to evaluate resources, collections, and services by compiling statistics, conducting use studies, and generating reportsAssists patrons in using technologyCommunicates with the Associate Director for Instruction and Research Services regularly to report activities and outcomesAs a member of Instruction and Research Services attends meetings and participates in creative planning, participation, and assessment of activities, instruction, and programsAs a part of the library attends department and special meetingsPerforms other duties as assignedReports to:Associate Director for Instruction and Research ServicesPreferred QualificationsAcademic library experienceExperience with Alma-Primo and/or SpringShare productsMinimum QualificationsALA-accredited MLS degree or equivalent degree awarded no later than August 2025Library experience, including research assistance and library instructionKnowledge of research resources and emerging technologiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsEducation Requirements:Certification Requirements:Job Posting End Date (if date is blank, posting is open ended):
