Loss Mitigation Manager
Summary: We are seeking a highly capable Loss Mitigation Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a team of Loss Mitigation Specialists with the goal of minimizing financial loss for the company by effectively managing the distressed account portfolio and working with team members to develop solutions. Ideal candidates will be highly skilled at driving performance, team management, and creatively finding solutions for escalated scenarios. This candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with team members and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drive performance on distressed account collections and solutions
• Support the Loss Mitigation team with coaching, training, and decisioning
• Create, maintain, and constantly evaluate all Loss Mitigation processes
• Track and monitor all performance KPIs associated with a Loss Mitigation strategy
• Negotiate terms with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications and transactions
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective execution of mitigation strategies
• Regularly monitor and track the performance of modified accounts
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
• Extensive experience in Loss Mitigation or Loan Modification roles
• Proven leader of people with ability to drive performance through leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft products
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
Education and/or Experience:
• High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
• Previous management experience in a call center or financial branch setting
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Occasionally may require light lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
• Office environment.
• Occasional travel may be required.
