Position Details:
You will oversee the daily operations of the Inventory Control Quality Assurance (ICQA) area in a high volume, order fulfillment, multi-shift distribution center by leading a non-exempt hourly team of 20-25. You will support Managers and Operations Managers to help ensure accurate product receipt, order fulfillment, and the optimization of resources and processes. You will analyze and determine solutions related to distribution, quality, cycle time and other important metrics. You will promote employee programs to create and encourage an environment where employees are involved, empowered, and committed to the success of the Company. You will report to the ICQA Manager in our distribution center located in Fountain Inn, SC.
You Will:
• Manage employees' individual performance through clearly defined expectations, coaching, and counseling to achieve required results with regard to productivity, safety, quality, and attendance and ensure everyone is treated fairly and with respect.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the distribution processes and important variables that influence the workflow process so you may identify opportunities for improvement and develop departmental changes enhancing workflow optimization.
• Lead teams to support the company strategy and expectations; ensure operational excellence within the ICQA processes, and support your peers in their work toward operational excellence.
• Work in a multi-shift operation with extended hours of operation. 85% time on warehouse environment which may include in the actual flow when needed, 15% office, training, customer contact, external yard or trailers. Will need to change shifts or hours to meet training requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations with emphasis on hazardous materials and powered industrial equipment (PIE) requirements.
You Have:
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, logistics, material management or equivalent experience
• 2+ years previous leadership or supervisor experience in high-volume, multi-shift, order fulfillment distribution center interaction with large employee populations
• Lift 60+ lbs. may be needed
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP and warehouse management systems
• We ask that you will be available for occasional travel to other distribution centers, corporate office, and field locations
