Description Serves as Lead crew member.
Starting pay $26.1064/hr. Provided benefits include but are not limited to, health insurance, group life insurance, wellness program, and CERS retirement through Kentucky Retirement Systems. Paid time off includes vacation, sick time, and holidays (for eligible employees).
Examples of Duties The Crew Leader obtains schedules and directs crews accordingly; Works with and oversees the progress of the work assigned; Maintains schedules of work and keeps daily records of work performed; Performs concrete finishing operations; Smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures; Operates light to heavy equipment; Performs routine and preventative maintenance on streets, street signs, property, facilities, stormwater drainage ways, and/or equipment to ensure proper condition; Performs various construction and roadwork duties, such as working with asphalt, dirt, concrete, or other activities; Tracks inventory of materials; Performs snow and water removal; Addresses citizen complaints/requests as authorized; Oversees safety of crew by inspecting equipment to ensure equipment is properly maintained; Performs and/or assists in performing supervisory-related functions to ensure staffing requirements and satisfactory level of productivity and efficiency are met.
Typical Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS (Required at time of application):
High school diploma or GED, and 2 year Technical Degree in job-related field; or 2 years experience in road and/or stormwater work. Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable. Valid driver’s license required; valid CDL, Class B or higher required within 11 months of employment.
