This is not a remote work-from-home opportunity so you must be within 30 minutes of Salina, KS. No relocation costs are being offered.
The right applicant will use proper discretion and judgement to evaluate and create designs, layouts, drawings, and bills of materials as necessary for the special and standard products using the most cost effective and efficient means available. To accomplish this, this individual must:
• Apply engineering principles to evaluate designs and determine critical components. Perform necessary engineering calculations to meet product specifications and ensure proper product function and reliability
• Review blast systems, accessories, and application to ensure compatibility
• Determine best course of action to complete orders
• Prioritize workload using Syteline ERP software to manage project timelines, resources, and documentation.
• Designs and models components and assemblies in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to ensure adherence to engineering standards and client specifications of blast systems.
• Work closely with product managers, production teams, other engineers and the sales teams to ensure alignment on design specifications and requirements, and development of technical documents (instruction manuals, technical bulletins, etc.)
• Provide assistance in the form of troubleshooting via communication and onsite visits
Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Good verbal communication skills
• Good problem-solving ability
• Having the ability to interact with people comfortably
• Having the ability to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
• Proficient Skills in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Previous experience with Syteline ERP preferred but not required.
• Having a strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and design standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI). Knowledge of electrical systems (up to and including design of control panels) is preferred
This position is a full-time, non-remote, position at 40-hours per week. This position requires working fixed days Monday through Friday, and fixed hours of 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This job also may require working beyond these days and hours on a regular basis.
