Maintenance Electrician
SUMMARY: Responsibilities include the installation, repair, and maintenance of all Printing Division electrical systems.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
• Ensure operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on equipment using electrical diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications for troubleshooting.
• Assist with installing new machines and equipment.
• Repair electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as motors, gearboxes, and conveyors by inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine electrical preventative maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components by using testing equipment and hand tools.
• Maintain electrical equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Conserve electrical maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provide electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Must be working toward certification in electrical and industrial electronics.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
• Degree or related experience in electrical maintenance
• Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks, requiring good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral communications skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Commitment to maintain confidentiality for sensitive information
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organization levels
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately define task parameters and objectives, then gather detailed, relevant data from appropriate sources
• Strong familiarity with electrical diagrams and illustrations
• Outstanding acquaintance with safety, health, and environment regulations
• Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed
