TOURISM LEADER
The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Tourism Leader in our Recreation Department.
Responsibilities: Conducts recreational activities and events for community members of all ages. Assists with content creation for social media and website. Monitors events, rentals, and activities at facilities. Open/Close parks when programming is scheduled. Inspect event facilities and fields prior to programming. Observe officials, volunteers, participants, and patrons during programming events. Enforce rules and standards for each site or park during events. Prepares facility for planned events, programs, and rentals— includes cleaning. Ensures facility is maintained and safety procedures are followed. Advertises upcoming events, programs, and rentals. Maintains equipment and supplies pertaining to programming and rentals. Trains volunteers to conduct events and Performs general clerical duties as required, including preparing reports and correspondence, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, attending meetings, etc.
Job Requirements: High School Diploma/GED; Prefer experience in recreational programs and activities; Must be at least 18 years old; or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.
Hours: Approximately 28 hours per week; Hours and days will vary; Weekend, evening and holiday work required.
Salary : Minimum $16.03 hourly; dependent on experience
