Overview
Join our esteemed organization as a Sales & Marketing Representative specializing in Hospice services. This pivotal role requires an accomplished professional with a strong background in outside sales within the hospice or home health industry. You will leverage your expertise to cultivate and sustain professional relationships with key referral sources, enhancing the company's Medicare referral network.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan, subject to approval from the Director of Business Development.
• Implement community outreach initiatives to raise awareness of agency programs among healthcare professionals and prospective patients.
• Facilitate efforts to secure new referrals from healthcare providers and hospital discharge coordinators through non-remunerative activities.
• Prepare and present reports on community relations activities as directed by the Director of Business Development.
• Conduct pre-discharge hospital assessments and coordinate necessary treatment plans.
• Create agency marketing materials and tools to support outreach efforts.
• Manage media exposure for the agency, including public service announcements and advertisements.
• Participate in local business events to enhance agency visibility and connections.
• Set and achieve job-related objectives and goals.
• Identify personal learning needs and engage in available educational programs.
• Contribute to team initiatives aimed at improving service quality.
• Assist with activities related to health plan contracting.
• Effectively communicate in presentations to groups of customers and organizational staff.
Required Skills
• Proven outside sales experience in the Home Health or Hospice sector (minimum of two years required).
• In-depth familiarity with the local market and established referral networks.
• Demonstrated and verifiable track record of performance in similar roles.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills essential for building relationships and conducting presentations.
Qualifications
• Minimum of two (2) years of outside sales experience in Home Health or Hospice is required.
• Solid knowledge of local market dynamics and established referral connections.
• Proven success in achieving sales targets and enhancing referral acquisition.
