PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Programmer on behalf of our client in Piedmont, SC.
The CNC Machinist Mill Programmer follows written instructions and read blueprint specifications or equivalent. This role understands how to adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided. Requires knowledge of operations include drilling, boring and milling, turning, etc., employing recognized tooling and procedures and is able to maintain close tolerances. Verify and document parts for conformance to specifications after any adjustments are made to ensure product quality.
CNC Machinist Mill Programmer Responsibilities:
• Capable of complex set ups on horizontal, vertical, and CNC Lathe machines and has the ability to build precision finished parts to specified tolerances.
• Proficient using Fanuc, Okuma, & Mazak controls.
• All functions of a CNC Machinist.
• Experience and ability to program machines using CAM systems.
• Responsible for cutting tool assemblies and maintenance.
• Understanding of CNC fixturing, functioning and fit.
• Competent in G code programming and edit programs as needed.
• Maintain basic maintenance on machine.
• Capable of understanding complex blueprints.
• Competent in shop mathematics.
CNC Machinist Mill Programmer Qualifications:
• 3 years minimum of experience in CNC machine tool operation and programming required
• Ability to program from drawings using G & M codes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in paying close attention to detail
• Ability to analyze issues and develop corrective and preventive actions that address the root cause
• A positive attitude and a passion for excellence in customer service and for promoting the well-being of the company, its products, and its employees
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
