Job Title: Temp to HIRE Sheet Metal Mechanic
Location: Greenwood, SC
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic for a temporary position in Greenwood, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, fabrication, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment, including ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, cutting, bending, and shaping metal, and ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Install and assemble sheet metal products. - Fabricate and alter parts at construction sites. - Work from blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the proper dimensions and installation procedures. - Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments. - Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Requirements: - Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic. - Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. - Strong understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA 10 certification. - Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in sheet metal fabrication. - Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
