Description
We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join our team in Greer, South Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in handling various legal procedures, focusing particularly on family-based immigration law and criminal law. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, allowing for long-term growth and development within our firm.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents in various practice areas, with a focus on immigration and criminal law.
• Maintain organized case files and manage client records to ensure accurate information is kept.
• Utilize your bilingual skills to communicate with diverse client groups and provide comprehensive legal support.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys to manage schedules, appointments and deadlines.
• Leverage your experience in Calendar Management, Immigration Law, and Document Management to ensure smooth operation of legal procedures.
• Engage in regular interaction with clients, understanding their needs and providing empathetic, comprehensive support.
• Conduct thorough legal research and case analyses to assist in the preparation of legal arguments and documents.
• Support attorneys in court proceedings, including the preparation of court submissions.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Ensure adherence to all legal standards and regulations.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Calendar Management
• Knowledge of Immigration Law
• Experience in Document Management
• Paralegal certification or equivalent work experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to urgency
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in legal research tools and databases
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new procedures and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills.
