Apply engineering principles to evaluate designs and determine critical components. Perform necessary design engineering calculations to meet product specifications and ensure proper product function and reliability
• Apply engineering principles to design control systems for engineered to order bulk material handling equipment as well as new products
• Evaluate designs and determine critical components
• Perform necessary engineering calculations to meet product specifications and ensure proper product function and reliability.
• Review equipment, accessories, and application to ensure compatibility with governing codes and regulations
• Performs installation, reception and configuration of PLCs and related equipment
• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and VFD programs
• PLC circuit troubleshooting and creating supportive electrical diagrams
• Troubleshooting equipment and software to repair and diagnose any malfunctions in the system
• Develop documentation including schematics, bills of manufacturing, and assembly drawings
• Complete any necessary controls-related sections of technical manuals (IOMs).
• Assist in developing control system costs to provide timely quotations to customers
• Review customer specification documents to develop appropriate control systems
• Should possess knowledge of standard drafting practices
• Should possess a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and apply them to the structure of bills of materials
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing; including interaction with the sales and manufacturing departments and development of technical documents (instruction manuals, technical bulletins, etc.)
• Provide assistance in the form of troubleshoots via communication and onsite visits
• Possess ability to manage multiple product lines from a technical perspective
• Other duties as assigned by engineering management
Requirements
• Two or four year degree in Electrical Engineering
• Three to five years industry specific experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Good verbal communication skills
• Good problem solving ability
• Good ability to interact with people
• Having the ability to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision
