Residential HVAC Installer

Position Summary:
Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our Residential HVAC Installers are hard-working, enjoy seeing a job from start to finish, and want to learn and grow in their career.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Installation of heating, venting and air conditioning systems in residences and some light commercial establishments.
• Install and start up equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications
• Ensure new systems work efficiently
• Maintaining a detailed inventory of all materials, equipment and resources.
• Communicates in a professional manner with customers, co-workers and subcontractors.
• Adheres to all local, state and federal building codes practices and regulations
• Possesses EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification license (Core, Type I & Type II).
• Completes job tickets and related memorandum accurately.
• Understands that safety is the #1 Priority, used personal protective equipment, documents site safety plans and understands electrical hazards and electrical safety.
• Maintains company vehicle organization/cleanliness and is responsible for vehicle inventory.
• Participate in continuing education sessions to ensure installation procedures are current with latest technology.
• Requires working 40+ during the busy seasons which may include some evenings or possibly weekends.
• Additional duties
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience in an HVAC related field or construction field preferred but not required. Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to learn and take direction from Foreman.
• Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date. NATE certification or similar qualifications are desired but not required.
• Knowledge of principles and methods involved in showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This product demonstration to customers and sales techniques.
• On the job training is provided.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
