HelpDesk Support Technician
JOB SUMMARY:
Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA), the 4th largest and largest private Outdoor Advertising firm in the U.S., is seeking an experienced HelpDesk Support Technician responsible for using basic technical knowledge to support IT initiatives and provide technical support and training to the organization.
The primary focus and responsibilities of the position is to display a high level of independent problem-solving skills and should be able to deep dive to resolve complex issues in addition to being broadly experienced.
The HelpDesk Support Technician will also be able to, under minimal supervision, time manage and deliver projects on a deadline while keeping up with the daily workflow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE:
• Provide amazing customer service for both hardware and software issues.
• Performs basic problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems.
• Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies.
• Assists with tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials; performs data entry and maintenance of records such as, but not limited to, project documents, user instructions, general reports on HelpDesk issues via the ticketing system.
• Performs routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
• Maintains user accounts – creation, modification, termination of user accounts and mailboxes and ensures appropriate permissions are assigned.
• Assists with the review, evaluation, and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates.
• Asks probing questions to determine the nature of an issue and talks customers through problem-solving activities with an eye to resolving as many issues as possible.
• Self-Driven to produce solid documentation around the procedures you use to resolve issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and openness to change.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision.
• A good understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration.
• 5+ years' experience with independently diagnosing and troubleshooting desktop support issues.
• Ability to demonstrate a deeper working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and basic networking appropriate to resolving issues quickly and efficiently.
• Must possess a strong ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Must have a positive attitude and the drive to seek constant improvement.
