The Trainer | Aerial Telecommunications Construction at ASG is responsible for ensuring that our workforce is trained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and proficiency.

Pay Scale: $90,000 - $100,000 / year

What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing employees on aerial telecommunications techniques, including gaffing, ladder safety, and bucket truck operation.
• Ensure all training programs prioritize safety, adhering to OSHA regulations, and company-specific safety standards.
• Evaluate the competency of trainees and provide feedback, coaching, and additional training as necessary to ensure proficiency.
• Create, update, and maintain training materials, manuals, and curriculum to reflect current best practices and advancements in aerial telecommunication construction.
• Provide detailed, hands-on instruction for the proper use of all relevant equipment, including gaffs, ladders, and bucket trucks.
• Ensure all training practices comply with federal, state, and company regulations and standards.
• Conduct continuous audits, virtual and on-site, to ensure that all trained processes have been applied and standards are being followed on job sites.
• Maintain accurate records of all training sessions, certifications, and employee progress.
• Stay updated on the latest techniques, technologies, and safety standards in the industry and incorporate these into training programs.
• Work closely with the safety team, project managers, and field supervisors to identify training needs and address skill gaps.
What you’ll need:
General
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to a diverse audience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide employees at different skill levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training needs and develop effective training solutions.
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• Highly motivated and detail oriented
Desired
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications construction, including gaffing, ladder work, fiber splicing, cable placing and bucket truck operations.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., OSHA 10 or 30, Bucket Truck Trainer, Pole Top Rescue, NATE Tower Climber, etc.) are highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of aerial telecommunications construction techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Job Type: Full-Time – Salary (Exempt)
Your Working Environment:
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
Your Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with training activities, including climbing ladders, gaffing poles, and operating bucket trucks. Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds as needed.
