Lead Process Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Develop and design process systems, ranging from simple to complex.
• Create and deliver process design documents, including hydraulic calculations, heat and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, process instrumentation selection, piping materials selection, process equipment selection, process safety studies, and relief device evaluations.
• Provide support for work delivered from multiple office locations.
• Oversee project workflow for engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure timely project completion.
• Collaborate and interact with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Manage project scope changes, identify potential risks, and work with Discipline Manager and Project Managers to develop contingency plans.
• Participate in construction services, including field verification, site observation reports, responses to RFIs, and submittal reviews.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited university. A BSME is acceptable if work experience reflects process engineering practice.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
• Familiarity with project delivery stage gate execution approach.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit, and coordinating integrated designs using tools like NavisWorks.
• At least 10 years of experience in the architectural/engineering (A/E) industry, supporting projects in specialty chemicals, heavy industrial, and manufacturing industries.
• Willingness to travel, as this position may require time spent onsite with customers.
• Ability to climb to elevated platforms via plant stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent technical writing ability.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Demonstrated ownership and follow-through on assigned projects.
