Production Scheduler Manager

Define the production planning for final product packaging and monitor the execution to meet production requirements in a cost effective manner and demand requirements. Facilitate the rough-cut production planning for Active Ingredients step and ensure the compatibility with filling step.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Utilizing MWB demand requirements and MRP output, develop mid term planning and short-term scheduling for Packaging production. To include interface with production departments on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to provide/gain update on product requirements and schedules
• Direct responsibility for the development and deployment of detailed finished goods production schedules to ensure proper prioritization and resource utilization using the Manufacturing Workbench (MWB) planning tool
• Utilizing MWB demand requirements and MRP output, develop mid term planning for Active Ingredient production.To include interface with production departments on a monthly basis to provide/gain update on product requirements and schedules
• Liaison with QA and/or QC to minimize or eliminate production delays due to delays in product release. Liaison with customer to ensure supply plans are transparent and meet business objectives
• Primary liaison with Supply Planner for Athens produced biological product portfolio. Act as the key point of contact with Demand Planners for Athens produced biological product portfolio
• Act as primary Supply Chain liaison between the Athens Supply Chain team and the St. Joseph Supply Chain team for Athens produced biological product transfers
• Prepare, facilitate and contribute to Source Supply Review at site level
• Direct responsibility to review and reconciliation of MWB demand and related MRP output. Anticipate and manage risk of obsolete inventory and stock out
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a Science, Engineering or Business background, required.; advanced degree preferred
• APICS certification preferred
• >10 years experience in Logistics/SCM, preferably in the Bio-/Pharmaceutical industry,in a multinational company would be an advantage
• Minimum of 1 year of project leadership experience
• Experience in specific handling of vaccines (production specifics, transportation)
• Project management skills to lead complex organizational /process/IT-Projects/International SCM and/or within cross-functional context and strategic initiatives
• Deep knowledge of state of the art SCM concepts & methods
• Experience in organizational transformation (e.g. change management approaches)
• Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP and/or automated scheduling tools (i.e. Oracle or SAP)
