The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply! Under the limited supervision of the Vice-President for Student Development, the Director of Admissions is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating admissions and recruitment programs and policies for the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. The Director of Admissions develops strategies to attract and enroll a diverse student enrollment. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
• Supervises all admission programs, activities, and events for the SCGSAH. Ensures effective performance of all recruitment activities, Including school-based presentations, career events, and discipline-specific presentations. Orients staff to admissions practices as well as school processes and procedures.
• Manages, creates, plans, executes, and evaluates events and activities to support recruitment goals. Supervises the management of events and collaborates with other stakeholders to ensure successful events. Manages the planning and execution of all auditions, including virtual, asynchronous, and in-person.
• Collects and analyze data pertaining to admissions, enrollment, and retention. Develops and maintains appropriate resources to support data collection and retention, including the school's application, inquiries for prospective students, and stakeholder databases.
• Develops and manages prospective student communications for admissions and recruitment from the Admissions Office and School art disciplines. Collaborates with the Director of Communications to develop and implement email, direct mail and website communications that inform and support applicants through the admissions process. Serves as a liaison between Admissions and the Office of Communications to inform, collaborate on, and coordinate marketing and material needs for admissions and recruitment.
• In collaboration with the Vice-President for Student Development all Admissions staff, and campus stakeholders, develops strategies to attract and enroll a well-qualified, diverse enrollment for the SCGSAH.
• Collaborates effectively with the SCGSAH stakeholders, including other offices, administration, students, parents, etc. to support the admissions process.
• Manages the financial assistance committee and coordinates the collection of financial assistance data from families.
• Represents the SCGSAH at events, conferences, and other relevant opportunities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and 5 - 7 years of admissions or enrollment management experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge of basic principles and theories of admissions practices and educational administration.
• Knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures affecting enrollment and retention.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (G Suite).
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Occasional travel is required. Occasional evenings and weekends are required to support departmental and schoolwide events and activities.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
