POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Associate VP of Programs at Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries (CMCM) will work closely with the President and a nationally recognized child welfare consultant to foster a culture of healing and innovation for vulnerable children and families. This role is pivotal in galvanizing and supporting Program staff daily, ensuring a cohesive, motivated team. The Associate VP will lead efforts to establish a strong framework of consistency, continuity, communication, and cooperation across all program services, striving to build a dynamic environment that prioritizes the needs and well-being of children and families served by CMCM.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee residential care and programs, ensuring trauma-informed care practices.
• Coordinate communication, collaboration, and consistency across programs.
• Develop and manage program policies and procedures.
• Lead and motivate in a transformative, servant-leadership style.
• Implement treatment models to support residential populations.
• Build and maintain partnerships at local, state, and national levels.
• Ensure compliance with DSS regulations and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate CARE, TCI, and Neurosequential Model principles with staff and children.
• Foster a child-centered, family-focused work environment.
• Collaborate with the President to evaluate and improve services and training.
• Support staff in delivering high-quality services aligned with the mission.
• Act as a visible and engaged leader across campus and events.
• Support budget planning and act as a community ambassador.
• Strive for the yearly “Gold Star” goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
• Master’s degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, or related social science
• Five to ten years of demonstrated competence required in the administration and supervision of child welfare services
• Very high emotional intelligence with the ability to build relationships, motivate, galvanize, inspire, and hold staff accountable
• Extensive knowledge of trauma, trauma-informed care, and models of best practice
• Well-versed in counseling theory, technique, and practice for the professional and layperson preferred
• Extensive knowledge and experience of Group Home services and programs
• Knowledge of DSS licensing regulations
• Established connections in child welfare and trauma
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage a comprehensive multifaceted program
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others in a collaborative manner
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Team building skills
• Conflict management/conflict resolution skills
• Budget planning management experience within budgetary guidelines
• Proven initiative and excellent problem-solving skills
