Job Description The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and direction as listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor’s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position serves as an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or performs complex to difficult engineering assignments, evaluates, selects, and applies advanced engineering techniques to a broad set of complex assignments.
• Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including manpower forecasts
• Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
• Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
• Perform and check calculations, and solve problems of complex to difficult engineering complexity
• Participate in people development through mentoring, development of training material, conducting training seminars, and performance appraisal input and counseling
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• May need to travel to attend to business related matters
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience
• Professional Engineer registration
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

• Advanced knowledge of:
o Site layout and geometry
o Paving layout and geometry
o Railroad layout and geometry
o Detailed grading and drainage
o Storm drain, culvert and drainage ditch design
o Erosion and sediment control
o Stormwater pond layout and design
o Routing of underground utilities
o Sanitary sewer design including gravity and pressure systems, pump station design
o Preparation of Civil related permits and reports including NPDES/SCDHEC/SWPPP stormwater, erosion/sediment control; sanitary sewer and potable water
o Preparing civil specifications
o Engineering drawing checking
o Computer modeling and analysis including stormwater pond design, storm drainage design/pipe networks, earthwork cut and fill calculations
o Hydrologic analysis and hydraulic design, geotechnical engineering and investigations, boundary and topographical surveying
o Procurement and construction aspects of engineering
o Vendor drawing review, intergroup review – squad checking
• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
• Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
• Managing and leading a large project
• Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out
• Remote work requests will be evaluated based on positions, job function, and project requirements. However, if remote work is approved, periodic travel to home office and/or project site will be required
Preferred Qualifications • Membership in technical society
• Advanced knowledge of:
o Railroad layout and geometry
• Proficiency with the following Civil design software:
o Autodesk Civil 3D
o Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis
o Autodesk Vehicle Tracking
o Hydraflow Hydrographs
• Practical field experience
• EPC project experience working on projects for the US Department of Energy or other US Federal Government agency
• EPC project experience working on nuclear facility projects under a nuclear quality assurance program
Salary Range 118,500 to 213,500
Market Rate The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
