Job Summary This position represents the bank in a positive, courteous and professional manner at all times, including in-person, telephone, email and other communication methods. This position partners with assigned commercial bankers to provide customary support to existing customers and prospects. This position assists in the collection of financial information and appropriate documentation for customer verification as required by Bank policy. This position reviews loan packages for completeness including loan approvals, entity documentation, promissory notes, security instruments, title reports, insurance policies, lien searches, appraisals and environmental reports. This position collaborates with appropriate parties to assist in the resolution of any obstacles. This position may process loans for commercial bankers in other markets as a backup. Primary Duties: Loan Documentation Receive, track and process a high volume of both simple and complex loans for commercial bankers. Coordinate with customer, commercial banker, credit staff, legal staff, other internal departments and external parties to ensure loan documents are accurate, properly executed and recorded. Recognize discrepancies and noncompliance with polices and procedures and collaborate with appropriate parties to resolve by requesting clarification and supporting documentation to resolve. Review loan files to identify necessary information needed to process loan and modification requests, such as: Financial statements Tax returns Business/Entity documentation Credit reports/ID cross checks UCC lien searches Tax liens Insurance coverage (property, liability, workers' comp, flood) Appraisals/evaluations Surveys Environmental due diligence (questionnaires, reports and Phase I) Flood hazard determinations Preliminary/Final title reports (title insurance commitments and policies; title opinions and O&E's, Abstract updates) Judgements Bankruptcy searches Work closely with internal and external legal counsel to ensure loan documentation is complete and in compliance with the credit approval, loan policy and within the guidelines of the Loan Documentation Service Level Agreement Review loan/file documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to Bell Bank loan policy and other relevant policies/procedures prior to loan closing. Provide appropriate and complete documentation and disclosures at the time of closing. Disburse loan funds accurately, timely and in the appropriate manner Prepare and submit accurate and complete files to Loan Operations for booking in accordance with the Post-Closing Workflow Service Level Agreement. Provide accurate and complete documentation to Correspondent Banking Department for all sold loans. Work with other departments to ensure customer needs are met for additional services, such as Business Online Banking, Deposit Accounts, Sweeps, etc. Establishing, Monitoring and Maintaining Loan Portfolio Set up and maintain customer records on core system for all new and existing relationships. Forward billings for third party services to Loan Operations in a timely manner Assist with the ongoing maintenance and monitoring of loan files for complete and accurate documentation. Assist with the ongoing tracking of complete and accurate customer financial information. Ensure that all loan documents and financial documentation are imaged. Notify and/or forward to the Correspondent Banking Department all documentation that is received for sold loans. Work with the Construction Loan Administrator and/or the Banker to process all disbursements via the appropriate channel. Customer Service Provide outstanding customer service while assisting customers and Bankers throughout the loan request and closing process. Assist with Commercial Lending communications, including responding to incoming telephone calls, electronic mail, and voice mail. Work with the appropriate department to research and resolve questionable matters for clients. Provide support and assistance, and other related duties as assigned, in support of the daily functions of the Commercial Lending team. Participate in internal and external training to maintain knowledge of Bank products, credit activities and regulations, and other appropriate training as required. Job Skills Preferred: Commercial Loan documentation and/or loan coordinator experience in a banking environment preferred. Education/Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
