Hamar combines sales, engineering, research and development, and manufacturing to deliver world-class solutions to customers across various industries. As we move into our next phase of growth, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the business and drive operational excellence, product development, and market expansion. Position Summary: The General Manager (GM) of Hamar Automation will oversee the business's day-to-day operations, ensure sustainable growth, and lead the development and commercialization of innovative products. This role will require a dynamic leader who can balance strategic vision with tactical execution, guiding teams across sales, engineering, R&D, and manufacturing to meet company goals. The GM will also play a key role in expanding market share, identifying new product opportunities, and improving operational efficiencies. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall business strategy, revenue growth, market penetration, and product innovation. Collaborate with the CEO to set long-term goals, monitor performance, and adjust strategies as necessary. Identify opportunities for expanding the product portfolio beyond the linear electric actuator. Operations Management: Oversee all departments including Sales, Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing, ensuring alignment with company goals. Implement best practices in manufacturing and production to improve efficiency, and reduce costs, Ensure that all operations comply with safety and regulatory standards, with dust explosion-proof technologies. Engage various organizational support functions and team activities with company-wide initiatives and strategies. Sales & Business Development: Lead sales efforts to grow Hamar Automation’s customer base and revenue streams. Work closely with the Sales team to build and maintain relationships with key clients, negotiate, and close deals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in relevant industries where automation and safety solutions are critical. Product Development & Innovation: Drive research and development initiatives to maintain a competitive edge and expand the product line. Lead engineering teams in the development of new products, from concept to commercialization. Ensure that Hamar’s products are positioned as innovative, reliable, and capable of meeting industry safety standards. Financial Performance: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial goals to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. Monitor financial performance across all departments and adjust operational strategies to meet financial objectives. Analyze market trends and economic data to inform pricing, product development, and investment decisions. Team Leadership & Development: As a servant leader, model and reinforce company values in all interactions with employees, and customers. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team across various departments. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the organization. Collaborate with Human Resources to develop and implement professional development programs. Customer and Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary representative of Hamar Automation with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Maintain excellent communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on business goals and customer satisfaction. Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure that feedback is integrated into future improvements. Compliance and Safety: Promote and support a culture of safety to ensure adherence to all safety regulations. Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure product reliability and safety. Stay abreast of industry standards, regulatory changes, and technological advancements. systems. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or business leadership, with a focus on industrial Proven track record of leading teams in sales, product development, and operations. Experience in managing R&D projects from concept to market introduction. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards for dust explosion-proof products is highly desirable. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Ability to think strategically while managing the tactical execution of business operations.
