Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will support the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high-quality meals are prepared and served efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food handling and safety practices, along with a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations. Help manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Support kitchen management by maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods, including banquets and special events. Participate in menu planning and development alongside the Head Chef. Provide assistance in bartending duties when required, ensuring excellent hospitality for guests. Experience Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a focus on food management and restaurant operations. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Familiarity with banquet service and large-scale meal preparation is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting are crucial. A willingness to learn new techniques and contribute positively to the kitchen atmosphere is highly valued.
