AmeriStaff is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to fill an opening with a company located in Martinsville, VA. The ideal candidate should have experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a furniture manufacturing environment. Benefits of the Assistant Maintenance Manager: Monday-Friday. 7:00am-3:30pm. Pay: $20.00 per hour. Responsibilities of the Assistant Maintenance Manager: Must be trained and certified to drive a box truck. Help develop and perform preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure maximum production efficiency and output. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Assist in performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities, including mowing, mulching, and general landscaping. Work with and assist with coordinating outside construction and maintenance contractors as necessary. Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout, fall prevention, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements of the Assistant Maintenance Manager: Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a furniture manufacturing environment. Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers. Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. High school diploma or equivalent required. Related experience preferred. On-the-job training offered. Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. #INDAI2472
