Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Sow Farm Technician to join our team. This position is essential in ensuring the health and well-being of our sow herd while supporting our farm operations. No prior experience is required, as we are willing to provide training for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Assist with daily care and management of sows, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the farm facilities and equipment Support breeding and farrowing operations Record and track sow performance and health data Collaborate with team members to ensure the overall success of the farm Follow biosecurity protocols and safety guidelines Qualifications: Strong work ethic and a passion for animal care Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment Why Join Us? Physical Demands: While performing the duties of a Sow Farm Technician, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to move throughout the farm; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb 3-foot gates, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 50 pounds. Position requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. Frequently required, for extended periods of time, to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and communicate. A Sow Farm Technician requires a high level of respect for team members and animals. Must demonstrate communication and time-management skills and the ability to adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
