Position: CDL A Truck Driver Travel: Travel possible in PA,MD, VA, and NC We are currently seeking a Truck Driver with a CDL A with Tanker endorsement to join our Grooving and Grinding team. Reporting to direct field supervision, the Truck Driver is responsible truck inspections, driving Class A trucks transporting equipment and materials, and driving and operating our grinder & bridge groover on the construction site. Other tasks may include but not limited to carrying materials and heavy objects, stacking materials, cleaning of job site. This position works along with the entire Project Team to support the completion of assigned construction tasks and ensures all plans move forward to meet projected deadlines. This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction. This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor. Qualifications: Experience in Heavy Highway construction preferred CDL A w/ tanker endorsement Familiar with concrete work, paving, bridge construction, other highway construction tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented Job Duties and Responsibilities: Operating grinder & bridge groover Carrying, loading, unloading and stacking materials Operating /driving CDL type truck Moving material including soil and rock from location to location on the job site Driving on rough terrain in a safe manner Performing routine maintenance to equipment on a daily basis and reporting any mechanical problems immediately to the supervisor Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds from ground level to waist level and assist with loading and/or unloading Must be able to be bounced around when driving on very rough terrain. Must be willing to help in other construction related tasks when not driving. Must be able to climb into cab of truck and climb down from the truck cab Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel to perform essential tasks including maintenance and inspection of equipment Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands to move levers/controls to operate the truck and dump attachment Required to have acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather.
