SUMMARY Incumbents supervise the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of library activities; supervise staff; oversee facilities and general library operations; and provide professional-level customer service. Incumbents make employment recommendations; write performance evaluations; develop operating and capital budgets for approval of manager; and work with outside entities, partners, and sponsors. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited college or university, and four years of responsible library experience including two years of lead or supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
