BridgeWater at Janesville is an Assisted-Living community where we care for up to 24 residents. The Assisted Living Training Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and overseeing and follow through on the entire training process within our assisted living facility by being trained in all departments to have a thorough understanding of all work areas as well as have the ability to help fill in as needed. This role requires a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and facility policies to ensure staff members receive comprehensive and effective training. Additionally, you will provide support to the Housing Manager by assisting with paperwork related to employee onboarding and compliance. This is a full-time position, typically M-F during day shift hours but willing to work evenings, overnights, weekends/holidays as needed for training or to help cover the floor in collaboration with the leadership team. Key Responsibilities: Training Program Management: Follow through on implementing and managing training programs for all staff members, including orientation for new hires, ongoing training for existing employees, and specialized training as needed. Cross Train: Trained in all departments to help fill in as needed. Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and informative training sessions on topics such as resident care, safety protocols, infection control, customer service, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and evaluations. Ensure all training documentation meets state and facility standards. Collaboration with HR: Assist the Housing Manager with administrative tasks related to employee onboarding, including interviews, paperwork completion, and scheduling training. Collaboration with Nursing: Assist the Clinical Nurse Supervisor with administrative tasks such as chart audits, chart thinning, cycle med check in, nursing inventory. Training Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through observation and follow up. Make recommendations for improvements based on findings. Policy Adherence: Ensure all training programs and materials align with facility policies and state regulations. Continuous Improvement: Incorporate new knowledge into training programs to enhance staff performance and resident care. Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between trainers, trainees, department heads, and management to address training needs, provide updates, and resolve issues promptly. On-Call for Staffing: Assist with staffing needs as they arise and coordinate solutions with other coordinators and assisted living aides. Previous experience working in Assisted Living, passing medications and ADL's is required. Must enjoy working with the elderly population!
