Financial Assistant: Payroll and Accounting

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Financial Assistant will handle major aspects of Payroll, Accounts Receivables, and daily accounting functions.
Duties And Responsibilities
Site Collections/ Accounts Receivable
• Collect daily charge and receipt reports along with daily deposits from sites.
• Track daily receipts in spreadsheets for each month.
• Record operating deposits in accounting system.
• Record all other deposits and withdrawals in the accounting system for the operating account.
• Provide accounting assistance to front office personnel at each site.
• Review site collections for discrepancies.
• Perform analysis of site and billing collections to identify trends or issues.
Payroll
• Work closely with employees and supervisors to maintain employee timesheets and provider schedules.
• Keep employee information up to date in Paylocity, our payroll system.
• Receive documentation pertinent to each pay period and process for payroll.
• Process Payroll for all CHC employees.
• Serve as the main source of contact for matters regarding the company retirement plan.
Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Education
• Associate degree Preferred
Work Experience
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in an office or administrative setting.
Licensure and Credentials
• None required
Skills
• Able to read and communicate effectively in writing
• Proficient in use of computer and keyboard
• Experience with excel spreadsheets and word processing
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills are necessary to work with employees and vendors daily.
• Able to work in a goal-oriented and self-directed manner
• Able to remain professional and respond appropriately in stressful situations
Physical Abilities
• Have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a computer, telephone, copier, and scanner
• Required to talk and hear
• Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
• This position involves working closely with others in the Finance Department, Human Resources and Patient Family Support. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. HIPAA rules and regulations are stringently enforced, and violations are grounds for dismissal.
