It’s time to look at Taylor.Your Opportunity: Label Works is seeking an Equipment Operator in our slitting/cutting & shipping areas to be responsible for operating machines to finish production orders as well as assist in the shipping process. We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined to operate multiple pieces of equipment during their shift based on product and staffing needs.Your Shift:8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday - Friday​​Responsibilities Include:Operate automatic or semiautomatic machines in a continuous production/processing operation including; cutters, slitters, and shrink wrappers.Assist in Shipping by pre-boxing, and preparing ordersProof read and quality check productClean and maintain work area in compliance with safety regulations.Assist in other departmental areas as work load requires.You Must Have:Mechanical and technical skills/aptitudeBasic math skills to read ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimizationAbility to operate equipment to obtain proficiency as measured through production and quality standardsAbility to understand verbal and written instructions for work ordersStrong attention to detailAbility to stand/walk for entire shiftAbility to lift up to 20-40 pounds on a consistent basisWe Would Also Prefer:Ability to distinguish colorsExperience in a production related environmentHigh school education or equivalentAbout Taylor CorporationOne of the largest graphics communications firms in North America, Taylor’s family of companies provide a diverse set of products, services, and technologies addressing the toughest communication challenges.
