We are seeking an Environmental Specialist, who is interested in participating in a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of our industry needs, to join our team in Minnesota. In this role, you will work closely with Company Leadership on environmental projects. The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for conducting research, data collection, and analysis to support various environmental initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Industry leaders on challenging environmental projects for large industrial facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance on Environmental compliance, air and water quality management, site investigation and remediation, and due diligence projects. Prepare plans, permits, and reports for air quality, storm water, and other industry required programs Perform environmental compliance assessments and implement follow-up corrective actions as necessary to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct air quality analyses, prepare emission inventory reports, quantify air pollutant emissions and impacts, and evaluate air pollution control technologies. Conduct field work, including sampling, field studies, related project oversight, and system operation and maintenance. Provide general environmental compliance support to facilities, including on site assistance. Compile and evaluate data and assist in report preparation. Assimilate and manage data Conduct environmental impact assessments. Perform complex assignments, making independent decisions on problems and methods Recordkeeping for all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Skills And Qualifications: BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related Sciences degree preferred. 1 to 2 years of relevant environmental experience or professional internships preferred. Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus. Strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension. Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on trouble shooting/problem-solving skills. Driven with ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university and 2+ of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, vendors, and the public. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Computer Skills Strong background in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
