As Security Personnel at J&J Flea Market, you will be responsible for providing the initial contact with visitors and maintaining a visible presence to deter illegal, unauthorized, or dangerous activity on the premises. A night security candidate performs responsible security work in a variety of activities including foot patrol, crime prevention, community relations, and non-criminal security services. At J&J, Overnight Security works in partnership with other employees, departments, agencies, and the public in delivering effective and innovative services. May perform special project assignment duties in foot patrol, crime prevention, or community affairs as assigned. Respond to requests for assistance from the public, fellow officers, fire department, ambulance services, and police agencies as needed. Respond to calls of a non-criminal nature such as verbal disturbances, abandoned vehicles, and parking complaints. Communicate verbally and effectively by listening to people and by giving information, directions, and commands. Solve problems, exercise independent judgment, and determine when there is a reasonable need to notify law enforcement. Conduct visual surveillance. Conduct patrols of building, structures, and large outdoor areas which may involve walking, running, and/or standing for long periods of time. Work in changing environmental conditions such as fog, rain, ice, and snow Take proper safety precautions, anticipate unsafe circumstances and act accordingly to prevent accidents. Gather information by interviewing and obtaining statements Manage interpersonal conflicts to maintain order During Shift. Read and comprehend rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Write clear and factual incident reports to include after-action reports if required. Maintain Daily Activity Reports if requested by management.
