Assist providers at chairside; review and maintain patient charts; prepare operatories, instruments, supplies and paperwork prior to patient arrival. Maintain clinic, assist with screening; perform specific functions and procedures related to specialty area; instruct patients in oral hygiene. Supervise patients, mix materials, take vital signs, etc.; dispense pre-medication; instruct patients in post-treatment; handle emergencies. Cross-train with other employees in area as specified by supervisor and perform duties as assigned. Forward supply requests; maintain inventory control and stock cubicles, etc. Perform laboratory duties as assigned. Order all outside supplies with dental vendors and create an ongoing catalog for supplies.
