Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Appraiser Trainee to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting your Supervisor in conducting thorough appraisals of residential properties to determine their market value. Your expertise in quantitative research, data collection, and financial analysis will be crucial in providing accurate assessments that meet industry standards and client expectations. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive property inspections and evaluations to assess condition, location, and market trends. Gather and analyze data related to property values, including recent sales, tax assessments, and market conditions. Prepare detailed appraisal reports that include findings, methodologies, and conclusions regarding property value. Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to enhance data collection and analysis for appraisals. Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to provide insights on property values and market conditions. Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and changes in the real estate market that may impact appraisals. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines related to real estate appraisal practices. Skills Strong quantitative research skills with the ability to collect and analyze data effectively. Excellent financial report writing skills to communicate findings clearly and professionally. Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication. Experience with GIS tools for enhanced data visualization and analysis is preferred. Strong financial analysis skills to interpret market trends and property values accurately. The Trainee Process In order to qualify for this position, we require all trainees to have a four-year College degree. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not have their trainee hours in. However, the trainee process linked above must be completed before employment begins.
