Your ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff will be of utmost importance. Working as a BC / Supervisor for our Operations Manager along with our 2 other BC’s / Supervisors , you will provide leadership, conduct live training runs, fill time-off or manpower vacancies and provide field delivery support for Drivers in need. As needed, you will drive an “overflow” route or backfill for absent drivers to make sure all packages get out for the day. In this role, you will become familiar with each route . Candidates MUST have a verifiable history of driving trucks weighing over 10,000 lbs. (either 1 year out of the past 3, OR 5 years out of the past 10 years) to be considered for this position. BC / Driver Supervisor is responsible for fostering a team culture with drivers, built on integrity, respect, and professionalism. Scheduling and Dispatch: BC / Driver Supervisor is responsible to support the Operations Manager regarding scheduling drivers and trucks plus managing equipment needs to provide the service. The BC / Driver Supervisor will support driver dispatch and communications with FedEx Ground. Our objective is to optimize routes and maximize profitability. The BC / Driver Supervisor will occasionally take calls after hours, to (remotely) pre-plan and problem solve for the next day’s operations FedEx and Customer Relationships: Establish, strengthen, and expand relationships with FedEx Ground personnel at all levels and with FedEx Ground customers in the region. Safety: Support all company safety initiatives, including leading by example. Work with Swail Ground mechanics and FedEx Ground’s personnel to oversee proper pre-trip/post-trip procedures and compliance with all FedEx regulations.
