Major Areas of Accountability Meets and exceeds guest and associate expectations by providing service and teamwork Provides value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations Communicates effectively with guests, co-workers, and upper management Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed Handles difficult situations effectively Meets service standards Performs other duties as required to provide service and teamwork Supervises Room Attendant, Housepersons and Laundry Attendants in prompt and efficient housekeeping procedures. Insures that all rooms have been cleaned by checking room cleaners work sheets at the end of day, notifies front desk accordingly Supervises the completion of short notice requests for room changes Notifies management of any rooms requiring the replacement or repair of furniture, fixtures, etc. Inspects all check out/stay over rooms after they are made up to insure they are cleaned to hotel standards Keeps record of room checkout/stay-over; submits records to Housekeeping Dept. every day Monitors quality of rooms by conducting and documenting inspections of cleaned rooms Cleans rooms and public areas and operated the laundry when required Room Inspector Prepares maintenance work orders for replacement or repair of furniture, fixtures, etc . Ensures completion by following through on orders. Prepares daily housekeeper boards and assignments Responsible for managing the time for the employees Checks the status of rooms on an ongoing basis and notifies room attendants of any changes / updates Responsible for checking all Vacant Ready rooms on a daily basis at the start of the day Checks VIP rooms Coordinates cleaning of guest rooms for proper prioritization of guest request; VIP rooms, check out rooms, expected check-out rooms, etc Coordinates housekeeping work with related departments such as Front Desk, Engineering, F&B/Banquet Services, etc Checks floor linen closets daily for cleanliness, adequate supplies and linen Assures carts are properly stored and vacuum cleaners are emptied at the end of each day Assures proper handling of lost and found articles Assists in monthly inventory of all linen Ensures safety by assuring that all linen chutes are kept locked at all times Adheres to hotel policies and procedures. Reports to work on time as scheduled Follows hotel grooming and dress standards. Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures Adheres to OSHA guidelines when handling hazardous liquids, chemicals, stains, etc Keeps immediate Manager (EHK) & AGM promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
