Position Information
Classification Title Student Assistant FLSA Non-Exempt UGA Job Code FTE .49 Minimum Qualifications Position Summary
Security assistants at the Porcelain and Decorative Arts Museum are involved in customer service, facilities management, and normal security functions such as patrolling the building, responding to issues or complaints, monitoring security systems, and interacting with faculty, staff, students, and patrons inside the facility.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Security assistants should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, the ability to learn the facilities and systems, ability to use sound judgement and reasoning skills, and have a good work ethic. This position reports to the Curator of the Porcelain and Decorative Arts Museum.
