SUMMARY: The National Sales Representative is responsible for sustaining and accelerating our profitable sales growth by prospecting, nurturing, and closing, sales with both new and existing customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
• Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new OEM accounts in target markets. Ownership of building client relationships leading to sales performance that meets and exceeds revenue targets.
• Prepare and deliver quotes
• Assist customers in determining needs and suggest design and fabrication options
• Assist in the development of sales and marketing strategies to generate new business opportunities
• Gather and monitor information on market behavior, competitive trends, and customer feedback
• Project a positive attitude and image in all communications with customers, employees, business partners
• Provide first-class customer service to all customers and prospects.
• Respond promptly to all customer inquiries, and coordinate the effort to solve technical, engineering, production, quality and product performance issues
• Provide analysis, insight, and makes recommendations to improve Company’s position in the industry
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, product knowledge, industry trends and government regulations.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding company processes, customer product development, company finances, and all other ‘company private’ information.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, employees, and vendors
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and keep accurate customer records
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to quick changes
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and related functions highly desired
• Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and time to meet all specified deadlines
• Ability to read blueprints
Education And/Or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or similar degree
• Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in outside sales
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
