Meet the physical requirements as outlined in this position description. Able to read and write in English. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of applicable employment rules, regulations, and laws. Experience working in the health care industry is a plus. Excellent attention to detail. Possess good oral and written communication skills and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer. The Human Resources Assistant will support the HR department in completing portions of various functions of employment phases (i.e.: recruitment, onboarding, training, etc.) as well as providing administrative support to the department. Specific Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day HR functions Collect and prepare applications and resumes and conduct rehire checks on applicants for the HR department. Assist with maintaining up to date information for applicants and employees (applicant tracking system, employee files, HRIS etc.) Represent EON, Inc. at various events. Prepare appropriate orientation materials for all new employees before their orientation date. Conduct the initial orientation and basic training of new employees. Provide direction and follow up so that each new employee has been given clear and specific expectations about what they need to do to successfully complete their orientation. Accurately enter all newly hired employees into the HR Information System (HRIS) system. Conduct background checks and employment verifications and reference requests as needed. Review recruitment and orientation materials (forms, policies, handouts, etc.) and update at least annually to ensure materials are applicable and that the process is efficient and meets the needs of the company and its employees. Collaborate with the Payroll Department to ensure the timely entering and payment of new employees. Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive or protected information. Partner with HR to complete employment verifications as needed. Order supplies and swag as needed for the HR department. Provide Administrative Support. Attend and participate in department and committee meetings; this includes completing projects and assignments requested by the Committee Chair. Perform fingerprinting services. Provide backup assistance for the reception area. (fielding calls, directing visitors/clients, incoming/outgoing mail etc.) Create and disseminate various reports, correspondence, memos and marketing materials as directed.
