Telesales Outbound Sales Associate

How You Will Make an Impact?
The Telesales - Outbound Sales Associate will generate sales for Morgan Truck Body by making outbound sales calls based upon company-supplied leads or answering customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment. The goal is to promote business growth by expanding the Morgan Corporation’s customer base. The Telesales - Outbound Sales Associate must be able to understand the customer’s requirements in a short time and present solutions that meet their needs. In addition, patience and understanding to deal with customer feedback and complaints are key to success in this role.
The Nuts and Bolts
• Make outbound calls (and answer incoming calls) to existing customers and cold call prospective customers to promote sales of Morgan truck bodies and Morgan’s Bailment program.
• Using scripts to provide information about product’s features, prices etc. and present their benefits as it relates to Morgan’s Bailment Program and truck bodies.
• Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements
• Persuade the customer to buy by demonstrating how Morgan products meet their needs
• Record the customer’s information accurately in a computer system, using our quoting tool and web site.
• Deal with complaints or doubts to safeguard the company’s reputation
• Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
• Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information
• Other duties, as assigned.
Required Credentials
• Minimum of an Associate Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Proven outbound calling experience in an inside sales or customer service role.
• Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas preferably over the phone.
• Persistent and results oriented and skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints. Patient and able to handle customer rejection.
• Excellent phone etiquette. Well organized with solid communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in English.
Preferred Credentials
• Truck van body construction knowledge, a plus
• Excellent computer skills, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
• AS400 or JD Edwards experience, a plus
You Must Be Able to
Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.
