Job Purpose
EnerSys Motive Power Group is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) to support the Sales and Service divisions across the USA while overseeing HRBP operations in Canada and South America. This position will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with business goals, managing talent pipelines, driving cultural initiatives, and leading a team of HR professionals. As a key member of the HR leadership team, the Sr. HRBP will partner with senior business leaders to deliver HR programs and solutions that foster a high-performance and inclusive culture across the Americas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Strategic HR Leadership: Drive and implement HR programs, services, policies, and processes that align with EnerSys’ strategic objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure HR strategies support long-term business goals.
• Talent Management: Work closely with Talent Acquisition to build and sustain a strong talent pipeline for Sales and Service divisions. Lead succession planning, employee development, and career advancement programs to ensure readiness of key contributors and management.
• Employee Relations & Compliance: Act as a trusted advisor on employment-related legal issues, ensuring compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local laws across the US, Canada, and South America. Handle complex employee relations issues and manage investigations, performance management, and terminations.
• Cultural Leadership: Lead initiatives that strengthen organizational health, enhance company culture, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the Americas. Ensure HR practices foster an engaging work environment and support employee retention.
• People Strategy Execution: Collaborate with Corporate HR to execute people strategies that drive business results. Deliver tailored HR solutions at the business unit level, making data-driven recommendations for organizational and workforce improvements.
• HRBP Team Management: Oversee and mentor HRBPs supporting Canada and South America, ensuring alignment with regional and global HR initiatives. Provide strategic direction and performance coaching to foster their professional growth and development.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to business leaders, offering insights that drive decision-making. Identify workforce trends and recommend proactive solutions.
• Special Projects: Lead or participate in HR-related special projects, including M&A integration, organizational restructuring, and cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a management capacity.
• Proven track record of partnering with senior leadership in a multi-location environment, supporting large-scale HR initiatives.
• Strong experience in talent management, employee relations, and change management.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems, with SuccessFactors experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws across the USA, Canada, and Latin America.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, managing multiple priorities.
• High ethical standards, with a focus on confidentiality and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Administration.
• Experience in global or multi-regional HR management, with direct exposure to HR practices in Latin America and Canada.
• Prior experience in Sales and Service environments or supporting customer-facing teams.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or French, in addition to English, to support operations in South America and Canada.
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, reporting) and other MS Office applications.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.
Travel Requirement: Travel will be required as business needs arise, including visits to sites across the USA, Canada, and South America.
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to regional sites across the USA, Canada, and South America.
