The mission of the Office of Academic Honesty and Student Appeals is to serve the University of Georgia community, promote student learning and foster responsible scholarship by:
• Providing education, information, and best practices for promoting and preserving the academic integrity of the university.
• Responding promptly and in accordance with university policy when suspected academic dishonesty is reported.
• Providing assistance, information and resources to students regarding university academic policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The Education and Program Coordinator reports to the Director and provides support for the academic honesty program and student academic appeals. This includes, but is not limited to, speaking to students, faculty, and others individually and in groups. Providing information to students about the University's academic appeals process and policies, supporting the Educational Affairs Committee's Petitions Subcommittee. Scheduling honesty and appeals meetings, facilitating honesty discussions and providing leadership for the Student Academic Honesty Council. The Program Coordinator will assist with special projects in the Office of Instruction, as needed.

• Provide information to students and faculty about the academic honestyprocedures.
• Facilitate academic honesty discussions.
• Assist in scheduling honesty meetings and panels (with Administrative Associate).
• Train student and faculty honesty panelists.
• Develop and update academic honesty educational literature.
• Make academic honesty presentations to student and faculty groups.
• Analyze data for reports and presentations related to academic honesty.
• Coordinate website updates and developing new webpages for consumption by students and faculty.

• Serve UGA by working with various internal and external groups to promote academic honesty throughout higher education.
• Serve on committees.
• Participate in workshops or conferences.
• Coordinate experiential learning program for students.
• Develop and implement programming for annual Academic Integrity Week.
• Assist Graduate Research Assistant with Remediation Program.
• Administer and direct Graduate Research Assistant with academic honesty-online module on eLC.
• Coordinate flagging students that complete the module in the Advocate Conduct Tracking System.

• Proactively address institutional academic honesty concerns through policy & procedure research.
• Monitor research to inform OVPI and faculty governance with information/data/reports as needed.
• Assist in the assessment of the office using the Xitracs reporting system.
• Release/publish new research & content to ICAI and/or academic journals when relevant.

• Provide complete information about the academic appeals process and university policies related to the academic appeals process.
• Prepare student appeal files and collect recommendations from administrators.
• Coordinate subcommittee meetings, student appointments, and attend monthly subcommittee meetings.
• Prepare student appeals correspondence for deans, directors, department heads, and students.
• Gather information from schools and colleges in relation to the online appeals system.
• Provide monthly and annual data for OVPI .
