Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified candidate for a renewable non-tenure track position in Data Analytics within the Department of Mathematics and Technology at Alvernia University . We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about teaching and committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment for our students.
Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Data Analytics and Data Science
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Engage students through innovative and effective teaching methods that promote active learning and critical thinking skills development.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students interested in pursuing careers in Data Analytics or Data Science .
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Data Analytics -related initiatives within the University .
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other service activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• An equivalent of a master's degree in Data Analytics or a related field.
• Professional experience in Data Analytics or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level, preferably in Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching, scholarship, and service.
